According to WHO, Mosquitoes kill 830,000 humans per year.  This number is higher than any deaths due to wars, conflicts and diseases. BudhiAI has developed an innovative method to eliminate disease carrying mosquitoes by integrating two technologies.  Our patent pending technology has metal organic framework (MOF) which attracts mosquitoes by releasing stored gases. The attracted mosquitoes are killed by a patent pending machine learning algorithm which identifies and kills disease causing mosquitoes before it bites.

A Metal Organic Framework (MOF) is a new class of nanomaterials. Jawaharlal Nehru Centre For Advanced Scientific Research is one such institute which has synthesized such nanomaterials. BudhiAI has identified a MOF developed which has large porosity (ZrMOF-5) having a selective property to store and release specific gases such as carbon dioxide.

Our cost effective machine vision system uses machine/deep learning algorithms to identify disease causing mosquitoes like Aedes aegypti (dengue) and others.

Metal organic framework (MOF)

This new class of nanomaterial can be synthesized for adsorbing particular gases by tuning porosity. For attracting mosquitoes, we are able to selectively adsorb only carbon dioxide and release it when required. BudhiAI is commercializing this technology to attract mosquito to a target area.

Preliminary work by BudhiAI on identifying disease carrying mosquitoes

As you can see from the images, this species (Aedes Aegypti) has distinct characteristics which can be identified.

For annihilation of mosquitoes, BudhiAI has used the latest research from Oxford university to understand the flight mechanics so that our system can predict the location of the mosquitoes.
